We are counting down the days until school is out around here and we can start making some summertime memories.
I appreciate what each season brings. I love the busyness and brisk weather of fall. I love winter and celebrating the holidays with friends and family. I love the newness of spring (and baseball season)! But, I think I love the lazy days of summertime most of all. Although, often our summers end up being pretty busy, too. Last week we had a "family meeting" and brainstormed a list of twenty activities that we plan to do this summer.
I'm going to be honest, my four year old, who is the self proclaimed head of household, came up with most of these. I nixed the camping out idea, though. Mama doesn't sleep outside. I bet there aren't many of you out there that are planning to potty train one child, and get a drivers license for another, this summer. Fun times!
I am going to close today by sharing some of our favorite memories from previous summer memories.

Your summer bucket list looks perfect!! We also have potty training on our to do list this summer. Should be a fun time! ha! =)
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!!!
I am dreading potty training. I think I'll wait until after our vacation. No one wants to potty train on a road trip!
DeleteI love all of your vacation pictures! One of my goals now is to get a firework picture like your's, so awesome! I hear you on the potty training, we have a very stubborn little man over here.
ReplyDeleteThose firework pictures were pure luck. I took those on my phone a few years ago...and it wasn't even an iPhone, just a Windows phone. I've tried to do it again, but it never looks as good.
DeleteSilver Dollar City?! That's in my back yard.... okay a little further than that but still. We seriously need to get busy working on our spring list. Summer officially starts in just about a month! Eeeekkk!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou'll have to let me in on any Silver Dollar City or Branson tips you have. It's been 10 years since our last visit.
DeleteBranson, eh? I've been there!
ReplyDeleteWe took my daughter (now 16), when she was six. It was the perfect place for young kids, so we're excited to go back.
DeleteAhh...we are both going to Missouri this summer! We will be there for a week but won't know until we see how the boys do in the tourney whether we will have a few extra days to explore Branson. When are you guys going? I feel ya on the teen driving and potty training....my oldest and youngest are 15 years apart. Always crazy town around here! Thank you so, so much for linking up with us today!!
ReplyDeleteHave you been to Brandon before? It's been 10 years since we've been, but there's so much to do there and it's very kid friendly. We're looking at the end of June or the end of July. Hopefully we'll have it booked this week.
DeleteThanks for linking up with us, today! We have Branson on our vacation bucket list - not sure when we will hit Mo, but can't wait!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! It's the perfect place to vacation with kids. We're excited to go back!
DeleteI guess I need to make one of these bucket lists too haha, Thanks for sharing! Found your blog through Tuesday Talk!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you stopped by Hannah. I think the linkup is open for a week, you should make one.
DeleteI feel like summer is always full of such good memories..I'm so excited for this year because it's my first summer with a baby!
ReplyDeleteAwww! You are in for a lifetime of fun summers!
DeleteLove your list! We went to Branson 4 years ago and we had so much fun. I also love the look back at all of your past summer pictures.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jessica! We are looking forward to it. The little kids have never been to an amusement park, so they are over the top excited about the rides!
DeletePotty training is easier in the summer I think! Less clothes to remove and keep changing. Hope it goes well.
ReplyDeleteVery true! I think once her wardrobe consists mainly of sundresses she'll be ready.
DeleteI love the title of your blog and seeing all your pics! Stopping by from Shelly's link up! Hope you and your family have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by, Laura!
Delete#12 - we will be doing the same thing with our granddaughter this summer. We thought she had it down pat, but not so much. Regression.
ReplyDeleteI just want to get some sleep this summer! Haha! But we will keep plenty busy with all of our activities and playdates. I love your list. I hope you're able to accomplish all of it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun summer bucketlist! I can’t wait to watch as you guys cross these things off your list. We are still finalizing our list, but some of ours are vacation, make homemade ice cream, go camping, etc. I hope y’all have the best summer ever. Love the throwback photos!
