1. Chipotle Bowl from Chipotle:
This is one of my favorite copycat recipes to make at home, too. Barbacoa is my very favorite!
2. Market Salad from Chick-fil-A:
If you're a southern mom like me, you probably eat at Chick-fil-A more than you'd like to admit. My kiddos love their nuggets, but this mom is hooked on the Market Salad with grilled chicken.
3. House Salad from Olive Garden:
Who doesn't love the house salad from Olive Garden? One of my favorite things to do is meet my mom at Olive Garden for soup and salad. Yum!
4. Paradise Greek Salad from Paradise Bakery:
I use to work near a Paradise Bakery and I ate this salad probably at least two times a week. Oh man, I love that place! Salads, bagels, and chocolate chip chippers. Well, at least I don't have to feel guilty about the salad, right?
5. Tropichop from Pollo Tropical:
I am fairly new to Pollo Tropical, but absolutely love it! If I am being 100% honest, I pour tons of that yummy cilantro sauce on everything I get there. I could order Plain Jane lettuce, as long as it's got that sauce on it, I'll eat it!
6. Mango Chicken Salad from On the Border:
When Mark and I were dating, we were big OTB fans. We don't go there that often now, because we live in Texas and there's a Mexican restaurant on every corner, and the nearest OTB is about twenty miles away, which means we pass approximately 94,386 Mexican restaurants before we get there. Even though we don't go there often, this salad is still a favorite!
7. Chicken Caesar Salad from La Madeleine:
I said I wasn't going to pick a favorite, but THIS IS TOTALLY IT! Yes, it's one of my favorite salads, but it's also where Kendall will choose to eat lunch 99.7% of the time when we have a girl's day. We always split a chicken caesar salad, and I get a cup of tomato basil soup. There's really nothing better than lunch at La Madeleine with your daughter and having a little girl talk.
8. Chopped Antipasto from Buca Di Beppo:
Bucca di Beppo is one of mine and Mark's favorite date night spots. We always start with this salad and then split an entree. If you haven't tried this one, add it to your list.
9. Lettuce Wraps from Pei Wei:
OK, so technically this isn't a salad, but it has all the components of a salad...with a twist. Lettuce wraps are one of my favorite things to order at Pei Wei.
10. The Original BBQ Chicken Chopped Salad from California Pizza Kitchen:
You know that tiny, little percent of a chance that I mentioned, when Kendall doesn't pick La Madeleine for lunch? That's when she picks California Pizza Kitchen! Their chopped BBQ Chicken salad is similar to their famous BBQ Chicken pizza. Pizza for Kendall; salad for the mom.
Those are my top ten choices for salads. What is your favorite place to grab a salad? Be sure to check by Shelly and Katy's blogs to see other popular summer salad options.
Have a terrific Tuesday!
Emily
P.S. I'm linking up with Beth for Tuesday Talk, too!
I want a salad now! Haha! I love most of these, too. My favorites are the Olive Garden salad and the Kale, Broccolini & Sour Cherries Superfood Side from Chick-fil-A!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried that one from Chick-fil-A. I'll definitely check it out next time I'm there. It sounds yummy!
DeleteThese all sound so delicious. We have a place called Sweet Tomatoes...I have no idea if it is national...it's a giant salad bar/ buffet. They have every salad accessory imaginable.
ReplyDeleteI think I have heard of Sweet Tomatoes, but I'm not sure if we have one here, or if I have just seen it from traveling. It sounds good, though.
DeleteI am on a salad kick lately! It started because we’re going on a beach vacation, but then I realized how much I loved salads. It feels so much better to stuff my face with a salad instead of a cheeseburger or something! We are getting a Chipotle soon, so I will have to try that one. The only other places we have of the ones you listed are Chick Fil A and Olive Garden! But they all look amazing.
ReplyDeleteYou're going to love Chipotle. There are so many ways you can mix it up, too. Definitely try the Barbacoa! Yum!
DeleteLoved your post! First of all, you're the second blog I've read today that linked up lettuce wraps - which I would have never thought of! - so I think it's awesome that you've included them in your post! We don't have a Pei Wei here, but I love P.F. Chang's version! I've never had Chic-fil-a's market salad, but I love, love, love their cobb salad! My 22 year old daughter is from Florida and she talks non-stop about Chipotle - another place we don't have here, BUT! Mexican restaurants are popping up on every corner here in Louisiana, too, so there must be a migration eastward! Ha! Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeletePF Changs lettuce wraps and Pei Wei lettuce wraps are almost exactly alike to me. I've heard they are the same company, but I'm not sure. Next time you're visiting your daughter, check out Chipotle, you'll love it!
DeleteNow I want salad!! Haha =) I love love love the salads from Chipotle!!
ReplyDeleteYes, they are the best!
DeleteYUM!!! Love, love love California Pizza Kitchen!!! And we now have chic-fil-a so I am going to give that one a try!
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm glad you have a Chick-fil-A near you. They have the best breakfasts, too.
DeleteThese all look so good. My daughter is 14 and starting to enjoy a good salad. I'm looking forward to some nice mother-daughter lunch dates in the future!
ReplyDeleteMother-daughter days are the best! A little shopping, a little lunch...nothing better! :)
DeleteThis isn't really a to go salad but it is a salad you eat at a restaurant but the salads at Texas Roadhouse are soooo good. I have even bought their dressing that they didn't even officially sell. I just asked the manager and he made me some to go containers of it for a small fee. I love a good taco salad too. I'm seriously craving salad now. I think Whitney has everyone craving salads with her wonderful salad instagram pictures and her blog posts of the salads she is fixing up.
ReplyDeleteTexas Roadhouse does have good salads. I love their honey mustard dressing. Yum! I love taco salads, too. It's guilt free Mexican food!
DeleteBurrito bowls are my fave! I'm still a freebird girl over chipotle just because it originated in CS so it's what I know. It's definitely my go to so many days when I forget my lunch. I need to try that market salad too....maybe this road trip will be the perfect time!! Hope you're having fun!
ReplyDeleteI have never been to Freebirds. We're starting to get them up here, so I really should check them out. What's your favorite thing there?
DeleteWhat a genius spin on this! I love a Chipotle bowl - but my favorite salad on the go these days is the Newk's Favorite with the cheese and dressing on the side. So darn yummy! Thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of the Newk's favorite, but I am defintely going to google it and find out. Where do you get it?
DeleteAnd now I REALLY want a salad. Would you believe I haven't even heard of several of these places though?!
ReplyDeleteI thought of you when I was writing this post (because I was in Branson),and wondered how may of these places are nation wide. I guess you just need to plan a trip to Texas...to eat salad...Ha! I'm sure we'd find something else fun to do!
DeleteYummy! Our California Pizza Kitchen closed years ago and a nasty place moved in, gross. These all look so fabulous...meet ya at Chicfila! LOL xo Amanda
ReplyDeleteCPK is one of Kendall's favorites, too. We have one in a local mall that we frequent often. Her top two choices are La Madeline or CPK.
DeleteYum! I love the Market Salad at Chickfila. Haven't tried mango salad at On the Border, but I'd like to!
ReplyDeleteFound your post today on Party at My Place.
Hope you have a great day~
Melanie
That Greek salad looks so good. When it is a choice on the menu that is usually my order. Great ideas for summer eating.
ReplyDeleteLots of salads at restaurants I haven't experienced. But we do have Pei Wei and it has been awhile since I was there. Thanks for the reminder. Nothing better than a good salad.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Olive Garden's salad. It's just so darn good.
