A Sentence A Day: June Edition

In May, my friend Katie posted "A Sentence A Day in May" and I knew I wanted to be a part of June's edition. Raising a two, four and sixteen year old I say a variety of things throughout the day.  Here's an example of what I'm saying everyday.

June 1: Who wants to build a fort?  (When the rain seemed to never go away)

June 2nd: This will be the last time I ever pick you up from school again.  (To Kendall who is getting her driver's license over the summer)

June 3rd:  Mitch Moreland looks so much bigger from the 11th row.  (Ranger Game)

June 4th:  Sure, we'll take home that extra two pounds of brisket and sausage.  (When your friend has a party and asks if you want to take home leftovers)

June 5th:  Guess what's for dinner?  (Brisket!)

June 6th:  You don't have a knife anywhere in there???  (To Sonic when they told me they don't have a "tool" to cut my kid's grilled cheese)

June 7th:  Stop drinking the water! (To Jess at the Splashpad)

June 8th:  I absolutely cannot cook tonight.  (#chinesetakeout)

June 9th:  Stop walking on your sister while she's going down the slide!

June 10th:  What time is pool time?

June 11th:  Don't bring us the bread basket, please.  (Lunch with my mom at Logan's)

June 12:  Why is there a half eaten sausage patty, a whisk, a funnel, an empty capri sun, and a dish towel in my bed?  (Because J&J had been watching a movie in there)

June 13th:  I am so proud of you!  (Dropping off Kendall to be a counselor at G.A. Camp)

June 14th  Bunco!!

June 15th:  Was that snake just in the pool?

June 16th:  Make a wish!

June 17th:  Kendall comes home from camp today!  :)

June 18th:  Kendall is leaving for a week again.  :(

June 19th:  Happy Father's Day!!

June 20th:  I think we need to take Jess to the doctor.  :(

June 21st:  Jess, just stand real still for the picture of your chest.  (Chest X-Ray)

June 22:  Big Brother comes back on today!

June 23rd:  Jentry, what did you flush down the potty?  (Answer: a green crayon)

June 24th:  One more sleep until vacation!

June 25th:  Branson Bound!!

June 26th:  Quack, quack! (Duck Boat)

June 27th:  What do you want to ride first?  (Silver Dollar City)

June 28th:  Table Rock Lake water is so clear!

June 29th:  That pancake is bigger than your head!

June 30th:  Who wants to go to the pool today?

I would say, overall we have had a pretty fantastic kick off to summer!  I am looking forward to my sentence a day in July post.

Today, I am linking up with my pal Katie for a Sentence a Day.  Have a terrific Thursday!

Emily

  2. Oh my goodness, this is the coolest post!!! A green crayon? Haha luckily Mason hasn't really discover that he 'can' flush other things down the toilet. He will flush an entire roll of toilet paper if I'm not paying attention.

    1. I'm not exactly sure what she flushed down, but all she admitted to was a green crayon. We're potty training off & on (I need to be more consistent), so she's intrigued by the potty lately.

  5. I love this! I'm so sad we didn't make it to Table Rock but totally could see this as a destination for a future vacation. I LOVED the roller coasters at SDC...holy moly that was awesome and we had zero lines. And I'm cracking up about Sonic and the knife...haha. This was fun!

    1. We didn't have to wait for any ride at SDC either. I think that made it way more enjoyable for my kids. I can't imagine having to explain to a 2 & 4 year old that we have to wait in line to ride something. Table Rock Lake was beautiful...definitely not like the lakes in our neck of the woods.
