The Kids Behind the Blog: July Edition

It's time for one of my favorite posts of the month; The Kids Behind the Blog.  Each month I link up and ask my kids a series of questions...just to see what they'll say.  Keep scrolling to the end for videos of my two youngest.  They look forward to their "interview" each month and are very professional about it.  Well, except for that one time someone picked their nose during production...

1. What two things do you like to do outside in the summer?

Kendall:  Go to the lake and swim.
Jess:  Play at the beach, build sandcastles and bury Dad in the sand...oh, that's three things.
Jentry:  Play with Carly and Claire, and have Popsicles at Grandma & Papa's.

2. If you could go anywhere this Summer where would you go and why?

Kendall:  Hawaii, because it looks pretty.
Jess:  The pool...oh, and the splashpad.
Jentry:  To the poooool!

3. What is your favorite thing about summer?

Kendall:  I get to serve God by being a counselor at G.A. Camp and going on a mission trip to El Paso.
Jess:  My favorite thing is when the sun shines outside and it doesn't rain.  Well, sometimes, sometimes it rains.
Jentry:  Playing with Daddy, Marlo, Mallory, Carly, Claire, Addy & Kannyn.  (After a little coaching I finally got her to say Mama!)

4. If you could pick any way to spend a hot Summer day, how would you spend it?

Kendall:  Go to the lake with friends.
Jess:  I would play with my friends, and play tag at the park.
Jentry:  Play outside!

5. What is your favorite Summer treat?

Kendall:  Orange Sherbet
Jess:  A cold milkshake...strawberry with a cherry on top, and whip cream!
Jentry:  Watermelon

  1. I always LOVE these answers! It's funny how easily attainable the littles' "if you could go anywhere" location is vs Kendall's hahaha

  4. Love their answers and the videos are precious. Kendall and Abigail (she said Hawaii too) would be two happy girls if they could go on vacation to their "if you could go anywhere" location. Have a great day!!

    1. I would totally chaperone Kendall & Abigail's trip, but I wouldn't stay in a house made of straw! ;)

  5. So fun. I love how Kendall thought big on where she would go and the littles were just happy to swim. She sounds like one amazing girl too. You must be so proud of the godly woman she is growing into.

    1. Thank you, Beth! It's funny how little kids are happiest with just the simple things. Unlike Kendall who dreams big! Ha! Yes, Kendall does make me so proud. She has such a good heart!

    1. Right! Jess told Kendall we couldn't go to Hawaii though, because we don't know Spanish. He's a little confused!
